Completion Date:

Project Description:

The Ceramics Department at The School of Art Institute of Chicago occupies a lower level space in their Walter Netsch designed school at 280 S. Columbus in Chicago. The building design was based upon Netsch's field theory of a diagonal grid. The area into the ceramics work area was captured and turned into a gallery for the department with a custom lighting grid shaped to light the many angled gallery walls created by the grid and an additional lighting system to reflect the overall building's field theory pattern.
