This is the second building that along with Casa Morelos, occupy the last large tract of land in the Chicago Pilsen neighborhood. Its shape, like that of Casa Morelos, is developed around the various sized units for independent senior living. This building becomes the front of the project and connects with the street and the neighborhood and extends the aesthetic developed with the rear multifamily building. The cornices and offsets help amplify the connection to the community context. The group floor is devoted to the community space for the tenants and houses a City of Chicago Senior Center. The entire interior was brightly lit and multicolored to bring vibrancy to the public and corridor spaces
