Located within the historic Ida Noyes Hall, this renovation converts a former swimming pool into a study hall for the neighboring University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. The new space exposes the existing steel trusses and a large central skylight taking advantage of an abundance of natural light. Stone detailing at the existing windows was restored. Custom furnishings offer seating configurations for a variety of study preferences tailored to the space. As a result, a quiet scholarly retreat will be created from an already exceptional existing space.
