The project consists of a final infill for an affordable housing development on the south side of Chicago. The need and desire for large family units connected to green space and an allowance for at grade accessible units, led to the development of 2 six flat buildings, with (6) 3 bedroom units in each. The site plan dimensions were balanced to allow for maximum air and light between the buildings and the neighboring multi-story building to the South. The corner building articulation wraps around the side street to hold the corner. The rear has exterior porches facing secure lawns and patios for the tenants use.
