The final phase of a project on the west side of Chicago, for Hispanic Housing, a local CDC, that realizes the redevelopment of a full city block along North Ave, plus three parcels behind the block that joins the project to the neighborhood. The corner building, a former furniture showroom is being converted into 27 affordable family apartments by reconfiguring the interior structure to allow for an additional floor with in the existing large building volume. The existing facade will be removed and rebuilt so the articulation and detail can be presented fully on both street elevations. The corner will be held with brick and cornice detailing.
