School of the Art Institute – Office of Civic Engagement

1800

Chicago, IL

2016

The School of the Art Institute’s Office of Civic Engagement project is the renovation of an 1800 sq. ft. office suite in the School’s 37 S. Wabash building. The space was designed to emphasize the collaborative work of all who occupy the suite, with the shared work areas near the windows and the private offices at the perimeter of the shared area, with large borrowed lights. The Vice Provost and Dean of Civic Engagement Paul Coffey, whose office is included in the suite, played an active role in the design of the project. Light fixtures included in the project are SAIC ‘Together’ pendant fixtures designed by SAIC student Victoria Kim.
